Mount Pleasant Equestrian Centre is an approved riding school and livery yard. We are just off the A149 approximately 20 minutes from King''s Lynn. We provide riding lessons for anyone over the age over four, and teach anyone from complete novices to advanced riders. We are a registered pony club centre and run regular activities for members. We also have ladies mornings and ''own a pony/horse days''.

There is a kind friendly atmosphere around the yard where we have around 20 ponies, and horses to suit different sizes and ability of riders. Group lessons are organised according to your ability, but we also have private lessons and also private pair lessons to suit you.

We have two arenas to one is a wood chip surface, this is a small arena used for warming up and children''s lessons at the weekend.

The main arena is 20 metres by 40 metres surrounded by wooden fencing.
This has an excellent drainage system and is topped with rubber chippings and sand. This combination of materials means it can be used what ever the weather conditions and provide an excellent surface for both the horse and rider.

We also offer hacking to regular clients and those who are confident in their own ability. We are able to hack out over a hundred acres of woodland and fields on the Ken Hill Estate. If you are not a regular client and would like to hack out, you would just need to have a 15 — 20 minute assessment before being escorted out on your hack.

We are a registered Pony Club Centre and have many children working towards their pony club badges. In school holidays we also hold different activities for the children to do. Our ''Own a Pony'' days are aimed at children aged between 4 and 10 and this is very popular. This is their chance to share a pony with another child for the whole day whilst playing gymkhana games and other fun activities, with the assistance of the experienced girls to help.

For the older more advanced riders we hold an ''own a Horse'' day, this is where they come in earlier muck out, groom and ride their horse in the day and then stay to put them to bed at night.

We can provide you with a riding hat and some sizes of footwear, but it is advisable to wear riding boots with a small heel!
